Inspirational Woman Week: Beyoncé Themed Paper Bag Card // Papercakes Design Team Project

Paper Bag Card YT ThumbnailHello Crafty Friends…Rachel here.

Its inspirational woman’s week this week and I really struggled choosing just one inspirational woman. I have lots of strong female role models in my family and didn’t want to just choose one. And I admire lots of ‘Girl Bosses’ in the public eye, like authors, singers and actresses. So after writing a big long list of woman who are ‘killing it’ and who I feel inspires me…I eventually narrowed it down to one….The one and only Queen Bey!

Because let’s face it guys…Beyoncé is just awesome! Apart from being so stunningly beautiful, she kicks ass in all aspects of life… from her amazing career as a singer, song writer and actress to her gorgeous family.

So for my Project I made a ‘Beyoncé’ themed Paper Bag Card using Papercakes new Slay It Girl collection. I found the perfect image with a quote on of Beyoncé that matched the Slay It Girl collection perfectly.

In my video I have the process of how it all came together…

So that’s all from me today… until next time ‘Keep on Slaying’!

Much love

Sweet Shop Box Card // Papercakes Design Team Project

Hi Guys,

Today I have a super cute box card to share with you that I have made using Papercakes by Serena Bee’s stamps & dies which are called Deadly Desserts.

Pic 1 .jpg

This week’s theme is ‘Something Sweet’ and I thought what’s more sweet then a sweet shop! I found a cut file on Silhouette Design Studio of an Ice-cream stand box card and I altered it slightly so I was able to put my own ice cream cones and cupcakes in from the deadly desserts stamps.

I started off by stamping out all my images then colouring them in using Copic Markers and gel pens. Once I was finished I cut each image out very roughly and used my Cuttle Bug and the corresponding dies to get the ‘perfect’ cut.

For the base of my card I used the ‘heart lolly’ 8×8 paper from the LOVE BITES collections to decorate it further and to keep in with the ‘Something Sweet’ theme…I just love how it all came together.

Here is the video if you would like to watch the process and see how it all came together;

Well that is all from me today…I hope you all have a ‘Sweet’ day.

Much Love

14 Days of Crafty Love – Day 10 // Exploding Box Mini Album

DAY 10.jpg

Hi Guys, Rachel here.

I am back with this super cute Exploding Box Mini Album using the LOVE BITES collection from Papercakes by Serena Bee. I used all my favourite papers from the 8×8 pack and paired it with the elements from the same collection.

The ‘You make my heart explode’ sentiment went perfect for this project. I have been wanting to make an exploding box for so long and the sentiment inspired me to take the leap and do it. And I am so glad I did because it has turned out beautiful and looks amazing in my room next to my picture I made using an enlarged 3 x 4 journaling card and the decorated Heidi Swapp marquee letter I created using the same collection.

Here is what it looks like open…

I can’t wait to add all my pictures. It used a silhouette cut file to create this album and it was much easier than I thought to put it all together. I found some paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts that matched the colours from the LOVE BITES collection perfectly.
