About

Hi my name is Rachel and I am a Craft-o-holic! I eat, sleep and breath pretty paper and craft supplies. I am constantly on the look out for things to create. Creating makes me happy and I am a BIG advocate of people doing whatever makes them happy!

Where my journey began…

I found my ‘happiness’ about 3 years ago when I wanted to make a special gift for a special person and off I went to do some research on the internet …Little did I know at the time, I was actually on a road to self-discovery. At first, I used crafting as form of therapy, but after every project I finished, I realised how good it made me feel. And even better than that, I was making other people happy with my creations. My therapy turned into my passion. And now, my hope is to inspire other people to find their ‘happiness’.

A little bit about me…

I am 30 years young and currently live in the UK, Newcastle with my crazy little family. (They are very supportive of my craft obsession, thankfully! hehe) My ‘crazy’ family consists of myself, my partner, our 2 beautiful children and one very hyper miniature Jack Russel doggy, named Bailey and I love to document our silly stories in anyway I can.

Here is my little Bailey…how cute 🙂

My crafty heart lies mostly with Paper Crafts but I also love Mixed Media, Art journalling, DIY’s and much more. I strive to continually work on my Personal – Development though mindful practises like meditation, yoga and journalling. Journalling has so many benefits for your overall health and I am a big advocate to this practice.

Pretty much anything can spark my muse where crafting is concerned, I love to mix things up and break the rules. I like to pay attention to details but staying ‘inside’ the lines is not my style. I am more of a ‘free your inner child’ kinda girl.

How Miss Rachel B was born?

I  mixed all my loves and likes into one little bundle and that is…basically, how Miss Rachel B was born. I created this website to inspire you to live a creative life and to live in alignment with your life’s purpose.

Creative Healing

During my journey of ‘life’ I have experienced struggles and hardships, depression and anxiety just like many others in the world. At one time I thought I would never get over my depression and ‘just be happy’. No matter how hard I tried to motivate myself and think positively, I just couldn’t do it. I just thought life was hard and that’s the way it was meant to be. But after a long roller coaster of a ride I have had over the past few years I can honestly say that I AM HAPPY.

I was looking for happiness outside of myself but I found it within myself. It was there all along, I just didn’t see it.

My hope is that… my ‘writing’s’ and creations will inspire many others who are living in this situation to turn their lives around and find true happiness and inner peace, because if I can do it…you can too!

Healing Emotional Wounds with One Piece of Washi Tape at a Time….

During my healing time I found many creative strategies and tools to help me through and I am here to share them with you.  I use arts, crafts and journalling as a way to express my feelings and as an outlet for my stress and anger. These strategies also help you track your progress and personal – development while recording beautiful memories you can look back on. You don’t have to be good at ‘art’ or ‘writing’ to benefit from these strategies and tools but an interest in the subject is probably necessary.

What to expect from Miss Rachel B?

This website is basically a place for me to document my crafty endeavours…My ‘crafty journal’ so to say. I will share what I am currently working on, my current favourites and anything I feel the need to document.

  • Artsy and Crafty Process Tutorials
  • Creative goal Setting and Planning
  • Seasonal DIY Projects
  • Project life
  • Scrapbooking Layouts

  2. “I believe before you can work on your personal development, you have to work on your self-acceptance first.” What a powerful statement! And what a beautifully composed post. Thanks for letting me in. You’re a pleasure to read.
